Practicality • Precision Adaptability • Efficiency
Understanding the "why" to know how to adapt.
Do you already master the basics of hand wrapping and want to take your practice further?
Carré Cordé offers a day dedicated to refining hand-wrapping techniques for combat sports, based on practice, analysis, and concrete situations.
Discipline, morphology, pain, weaknesses… learn to understand the fighter's needs to know how to adapt your technique with precision and efficiency.
A day to move beyond just knowing how to wrap hands, and start understanding why.
On the agenda
Equipment & preparation
Choosing gauze, tape, and different widths. Preparing equipment, organizing the workstation, and optimizing supplies.
Analyzing a wrap
Learning to observe before wrapping: discipline practiced, duration of the fight, hand morphology, fighter's needs, and any specific pain or weaknesses.
Techniques & variations
Compare different bandaging techniques and understand the benefit of each depending on the situations encountered. Strengthen and protect the hand so that you no longer reproduce a technique out of habit, but know why and when to use it.
The goal: develop several technical solutions and know how to choose the most relevant one based on the context.
Precision & finishing
Work on the tension, positioning, and volume of the gauze and tape. Control the stability, comfort, and finish of the bandage.
Learn to identify and correct the details.
Particular attention will be paid to the consistency of the movement and the quality of execution, in order to obtain a clean, precise, and functional bandage, without losing sight of the fighter's comfort.
Adaptation
Adapting your hand wrapping to the discipline, the fighter, and the constraints encountered.
Mastering a good hand wrap begins with a solid technical foundation and essential steps to follow.
The goal: knowing how to observe, understand the needs, and adapt your technique without losing the fundamentals.
Efficiency
Organization, fluidity of movement, and optimization of the process to gain efficiency without sacrificing the quality of the hand wrap.
Working on consistency, the sequence of steps, and time management, in order to gain speed while maintaining precision, stability, and quality of finish.
To be faster, without ever being less precise.
Case studies & practical scenarios
Demonstration, execution by participants, analysis, individualized corrections, and further practice.
Examples of issues covered:
adaptation according to the discipline and time available, standard or compact protective pad, protection of a weakened area, choice of equipment, practical case study of the Mexican method,…
